Lamb Recipe- Five Minute Food

Lamb steaks with gremolata and tomato courgettes prepared by Xanthe Clay in five minutes. * 2 lean, boneless lamb steaks * 1 tbsp olive oil * 1 medium or 2 small courgettes * 1 large or 2 medium tomatoes * small bunch of parsley * 1 clove of garlic * 1 lemon Heat a large frying pan and add the oil. Rub the lamb with salt and put into the pan to cook over a high heat. Slice the courgette thinly (a mandolin will help speed things up here) and scatter around the lamb. Chop the tomato roughly and add to the pan. Season with salt and pepper. While the lamb and vegetables cook, make the gemolata. Chop the parsley and garlic together in a mini food processor. With a zester, take off the lemon zest and whizz briefly. Season with a fat pinch of sea salt. Serve the lamb and vegetables scattered with the gremolata .telegraph.co.uk

Lolo's Smart Cuisine for Healthy Dining in McAllen, Texas

I was invited to Lolo's for lunch yesterday. I was impressed by their menu now that I have started eating healthier. Around here, it's difficult to find meatless food outside of the produce section at the grocery store. The Rio Grande Valley is a tough place to be vegetarian. Healthy Food for Dogs - No More Toxic Food

Hi! I want to start out by telling you a little something about what not to feed you dog. Just in case you don't read on you will have at least an idea of what is harmful to them.

1. Chocolate - which can be toxic

2. Grapes - they have an unknown toxin which can damage the kidneys.

3. Macadamia Nuts - unknown toxin which can affect their muscles and nervous system.

4. Cat Food - Too high in fats.

5. Fat Trimmings - can block arteries and also can cause pancreatitis.

6. Iron - to much can be toxin to their liver and kidney.

7. Mushrooms - can cause death

There is much more but these are a few of the don'ts.

I started doing more and more reasearch after I lost two dogs to cancer. They also developed other problems such as ear infection (which the Vet told me was from food reactions), lesions on mostly their legs (which the Vet gave me nothing for the lesions. I went to Aruba and brought back an ointment which cleared the lesions up) by the way the ointment is made in New Jersey but only sold overseas! I have a new dog now and she eats only the healthest food and snacks, if she could talk she would tell you how much she loves everything I give her.

Do you know Dogs should live 20yrs+, not 11-13yrs as they currently are? It is because of what we feed them. The by-products manufactures add to their food is not only harmful but Cannibalistic!

There are two books I personally use and my dog loves the recipes. They are so easy it is a no-brainer. Included are the best dry dog foods in the market today. I went to different pet stores and read bag after bag of the junk put into dry and canned dog food and could not believe what I was reading. Please stop giving your dog this harmful food and at the same time you will save money by feeding them only the best.

Is Dry Dog Food Healthy For My Dog to Eat?

Not long ago, dogs used to be fed scraps from the table, with whatever else they managed to scavenge from elsewhere. Now, as animals become a bigger part of families, we want to feed them food that they will enjoy and like. There are so many brands out there though, how do you know which one to choose? In fact, dogs love them. And they keep their teeth fantastically clean. It is actually only cooked bones that might splinter and cause internal problems with your pet. However, even if you don't want to feed your dog raw bones, raw mince and chicken is absolutely fine. If you choose to feed your dog this sort of diet, you will have to bear in mind that your animal will also need fibre, roughage and vegetables. You can mix these in with the raw meat, or you can provide your dog with a mix of different foods: raw meat, tinned food and dried biscuits.

There is little doubt that dry dog food is the most convenient way to feed your beloved pet, but consider your pet every now and again. Try him or her with different types of food and see what they prefer.

Chia Seeds - Health Benefits in 10 Minutes

I enjoy crafting salads from scratch, but when I'm in a hustle I just get a bag of prepared salad from the grocery store. There are two ways to add chia to your green salads and enjoy a boost of nutrition:

  1. After the salad has been dressed, scatter the chia over the salad. The dressing will make it stick evenly and not fall to the bottom of the bowl.

  2. Add the chia directly to the salad dressing bottle and shake! This works with any dressing, whether its vinaigrette or creamy. Chia will make the dressing viscous and give it a beautiful texture. It enhances the taste, but in a very delicate way.

Why Is Healthy Eating So Hard?

Many people complain that eating healthy is really, really difficult. They just don't know why it has to take so much time to provide healthy meals for themselves and their family.

Truth be told, it's about as difficult as you make it. And it can be much more affordable than eating out all the time or eating convenience foods.

Your cooking techniques matter, for example. Just about everyone these days knows that frying foods is unhealthy. Yet we eat them all the time at fast food restaurants. After all, it tastes so good!

If you like the taste, it's far better to stir fry foods at home. You only need a tablespoon or so of oil for most recipes, so you aren't adding so much fat. Plus you can add fresh vegetables to really make your stir fry delicious. And it's easy.

A basic stir fry takes some chopped meat, vegetables, a bit of oil and some seasonings. A lot of people use soy sauce in stir fry, and if you're using a nonstick pan you may be able to get away with using only cooking spray and no oil at all, or even skipping it entirely. Season it up with some herbs, garlic or whatever you like, maybe throw in a handful of cashews or other nuts, and you have a healthy meal that didn't take too much time to make.

Switching to whole grains helps as well. Stop buying white bread and go for wheat. Switch from white rice to brown. Whole grain pasta. These don't take any extra time and are much better for you.

If you're constantly pressed for time, get a crockpot or make extra portions when you cook. The crockpot can be started in the morning, so that when you come home you have a healthy meal waiting for you. Extra portions of many recipes can be frozen so that you have quick dinners or an easy lunch to take to work.

Changing your shopping habits also helps. If you keep chips, soda, ice cream and so forth out of the house, it's much harder to snack on them. Simple avoidance can work wonders.

You can still eat meat when you want to eat healthy. Just buy the leaner cuts. Most Americans eat more meat than they need to, so consider cooking less of it. This is another area where I've found stir frying to be helpful. You feel like you're getting more meat if it's cut into small pieces by the time it makes it onto your plate. Mixing it up with a lot of vegetables also gives the illusion that there's a good amount of meat there.

It takes time to change poor eating habits. It's a lot of fun eating foods that aren't so good for you. But you can develop a preference for healthier eating and still not find yourself crunched for time.
